Activity Books

As part of my work at Brooklyn Public Library, I have conceived, written, and developed a growing collection of early literacy activity booklets for young children and their caregivers. Designed to extend the library’s early learning programs into the home, these engaging, developmentally informed resources translate early childhood research into playful, accessible activities that encourage learning through everyday interactions.

More than 75,000 copies have been printed and distributed to families across Brooklyn, with additional resources available online. I've been fortunate to collaborate with organizations including the Brooklyn Children's Museum, the National Coalition Against Censorship, The Reading Institute, and others (noted below) to develop content that draws on a range of expertise and perspectives. Each booklet was also created in close collaboration with BPL's talented marketing team, particularly designer Laurie Elvove, bringing together thoughtful educational content and inviting, child-centered design.

You can download the booklets below or pick up a free copy at your local Brooklyn Public Library branch.
